Realizing that early stage entrepreneurs often have many misconceptions about venture capital, Bill Snow put together this very handy introductory look at the world of venture capital. In sixty jam packed and easy to read pages, Venture Capital 101:

Dispels the many myths and misconceptions about venture capital.
Betters position the entrepreneur for successful venture capital raises by 1) identifying the characteristics venture capitalists find attractive and 2) providing a framework for when and how to raise venture capital.
Demonstrates that venture capital is not a stamp of approval. The entrepreneur can build a successful company without raising venture capital. In other words, there is no shame in aspiring to build a company that is not “venture worthy.”
Teach the entrepreneur when to "cut bait." Dump bad ideas and save time and money trying to raise venture capital for deals that are not venture worthy.
