| | Launch is today at 7pm EST. We are getting a box of chocolate cigars to hand out It is a engineering and scientific forum/blog/social networking site with proprietary forum software that we created in house with our users and all the features that we wanted to have (OK so we don't have spellcheck, but were working on it.). So if people are wondering what makes me a web 2.0 and community monetization mentat this should answer those questions.

| | Well it's up. http://cr4.globalspec.com/This site is designed to be "The Place" for engineers and scientists to discuss news and just about any other thing they are interested in. We will be adding banner ads in the next few weeks once the launch problems sort out. (Joys of rolling your own software). I even have my own blog there, The Feature Creep in programing and software. =)

| Thanks. We created it 100% in house. There are still some processes that need to be added manually, like new blogs, but the rest is functional. We didn't like the features that most forum software had, so we decide to create our own. Little tweaks like adding a symbol library to let people post equations was one of our better additions. We also changed from a text only daily e-mail digest to a graphic one. We get better tracking data off of the new one too. But it's time to dust off my big pile of businesses now that the one I was working on has launched. Honestly it is one of the few big projects that I've worked on that made it to see the light of day.
